What Causes Etiquette & Behavior Problems?

A Dog's History

A Dog's History

Many shelter dogs come from unknown backgrounds. Most lack training or socialization. If they were feral or lived on the streets, they can have behavioral issues. It’s understandable that they need instruction and patience.

A Dog's History

After you adopt your dog, you may notice some negative etiquette and behavioral issues.

  • Hyperactivity (needs more exercise than the owner can provide)
  • Destructive behavior (marking, chewing, etc.)
  • Psychological anxiety (howling, crying, barking)
  • Problems getting along with other pets inside and outside the home.
  • Refuse to obey.

If no solution is founds, dogs get returned to the shelters.

Dogs return to shelters

Almost 10 percent of adopted dogs are returned within the first 6 months.

The issue never gets resolved and dogs stay in shelters longer.

We combine 3 different techniques

Relationship based

positive reinforcement

Relationship based

We give you tips on Canine Communications.

Know how to read their dog’s body language, respond accordingly while projecting confidence and authority. This strengthens the relationship between dog and human.

Alpha Dominance

positive reinforcement

Relationship based

Alpha dog or dominance suggests that dogs see their families as their packs and follow a social hierarchy, as observed in captive wolf packs.

Dogs need to learn to respect their human as the alpha and submit.

positive reinforcement

positive reinforcement

Positive reinforcement is important to learn how to strengthen good behavior without the need for reward. Instead of giving a snack to reward the behavior, we build the dogs' confidence and make then feel proud of their accomplishments.

We Offer Learn & Play Dog Park Socialization

Our Learn & Play Small Dog Social events brings small dogs together to play and make new friends while learning Etiquette & Behavioral skills.
